Synopsis
The past few years have held more surprises than part-angel Clara Gardner could ever have anticipated. Yet from the dizzying highs of first love, to the agonizing low of losing someone close to her, the one thing she can no longer deny is that she was never meant to live a normal life.

Since discovering the special role she plays among the other angel-bloods, Clara has been determined to protect Tucker Avery from the evil that follows her . . . even if it means breaking both their hearts. Leaving town seems like the best option, so she’s headed back to California - and so is Christian Prescott, the irresistible boy from the vision that started her on this journey in the first place.

As Clara makes her way in a world that is frighteningly new, she discovers that the fallen angel who attacked her is watching her every move. And he’s not the only one. . . . With the battle against the Black Wings looming, Clara knows she must finally fulfill her destiny. But it won’t come without sacrifices and betrayal.

In the riveting finale of the Unearthly series, Clara must decide her fate once and for all.

I loved the first book in this trilogy, liked the second and now harbor uncertainty about this one. Hand has fluidity to her writing that's inviting and doesn't disappoint in this book. This last installment ties up a few loose ends but there are several strands left dangling in the wind. Clara has been told since she learned of her heritage that her purpose is important and that not completing her task wouldn't be good. Only to get to this third book and have that seemingly make less sense and get thrown out the window. I felt emotionally set up to feel for one love interest only to be disappointed in the end and have him completely disappear from the conclusion of the book. My emotions were crushed because I'd grown fond of this particular boy and come to understand his true feelings for Clara, only to have her lead him on regardless of how much it hurt him. Love triangles seriously suck! Everything seems to focus around Clara in the end, her doubts about who she is and what she must do. Is she strong enough? That ending surprised me after experiencing Clara's emotional battles with herself. I found that we never get to know more about details about her brother and what exactly he was up to since book two. Overall, the writing is beautiful but the story execution falters in this installment for me and things just wrap up like a nice little Christmas bow....all neat and pretty. Though I'm over it now but initially this book left me distraught with many questions and no closure for some characters.

    1. It comes down to which boy you're rooting for and that will decide how you feel about it.Some people were happy with the ending.

  2. Aww, I'm sorry it wasn't the ending you wanted. Sometimes, I like that and other times it is not fun to be feel like you yourself have been lead on by the author.
