Today is the 8 year anniversary of my grandmother's passing. April 1st will always be a sad day for me because I miss her so much and lost my best friend. She raised me and we had a very close relationship. Sometimes, I wish I could talk to her because I need guidance on what I should do with my life or just to hear her voice. We're going to visit her grave today. I'll be cooking today and then I have to go to work later tonight.

Thanks, I'm usually pretty sad but today wasn't as bad.
DeleteIt's nice that you're visiting your grandmother's grave. I like to visit my grandparents' as well but living a ways away makes it tough, but it always means a lot. I went and read your interview with the author of The Window, since I've just started it and am looking forward to getting into the story. :)
ReplyDelete#murdertrending looks great too.
I look forward to reading this one as well. Thanks, it was nice to go put flowers out for her.

I haven't been much either, it's just hard because I know she's not there. Thanks. I'm enjoying it so far.
Delete:( sorry about your grandmother, I totally understand. Mine helped my mum raise me and we lost her 9 years ago this past Feb and I still miss her fiercely.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's hard. Sometimes it feels as fresh as the day it happened.

All the Beautiful Lies was insane. I'm working on the review for it. Thanks, I still wish I could make more with her.
DeleteSorry about your grandmother, I lost my mother and father 13 years ago in July. I still get emotional about it. It's a hurt that doesn't go away. They really do take a piece of you with them.

Mary my #SundayRoundup #12!
I was thinking the same thing about her taking a piece of me with her the other day. I've been replaying her last days in my mind. Thanks.
DeleteSorry about the loss of your Grandmother, but at least you will always have such great memories. She sounds like an awesome person. I really hope to snag a copy of the Ann Aguirre book. I like the sounds of it and I've read some of her other stuff and really liked it. Great haul!
