My Sunday Post #59: It's all about the challenge

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer
I'm also linking up to Stacking the Shelves by Tynga's Review this week.

So my husband and I have to decided to do this four week challenge that cuts out bread, fried foods, fast food, chips, ice cream, candy, cookies, bread, soda, juice and just about anything that tastes good. He's ready to get started and I am as well because it will kick start my journey to a healthier me.

  1. Good luck with eating healtheir! I've made some changes too like cutting WAY back on red meat (haven't been brave enough to go vegetarian yet lol) but baby steps, right? Ha ha seriously though best of luck with it!

Hope you like Illuminae! Fun book.

    1. Thanks, I don't think I could go without meat but I think cutting back on red meat is a good idea.

  4. I read The Beauty that Remains last month and enjoyed it. I liked Ashely's presentation of grieving/moving on. I've been dying to read A Girl Like That and The Astonishing Color of After. I have both on hold so I'm hoping they come in soon. Good luck with your challenge! One alternative to ice cream I always like is mixing together fresh fruit, vanilla or plain yogurt, and some cinnamon. It gives you a good amount of sweet.

    1. I need to do better about working out but trying to work on my eating. I would love to get a bike so I could ride around the neighborhood. I've always wanted to try yoga or pilates.

  7. I've just finished Lent and I gave up all of those things and now I don't crave them. I will say that what helped me was allowing myself to eat some marginal items, like pudding and crackers. Good luck to you!

    1. Thanks, that makes me feel better. I'm hoping it will jump start my body to not want these things. I already don't do a majority of them but I love some fried food.

  9. Good luck on that new diet...sad! I need to do something similar, but I've started by keeping a food diary and eliminating most sugar. When I write everything down, I feel more in control.

All the Beautiful Lies is a book I've requested from the library. Hope to read it soon.

Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

    1. lol, I eat ice cream by spell. It's the fried food that's my problem and fast food because of how I work. Oh, and bread :) I love the cover for it as well. It sounds like it's going to be a good one.
