New This Week

I've been in a reading rut for the last few years because life happened. The one thing that I most enjoyed, I just couldn't do. I got sick in 2014 and couldn't eat because I would have these horrible pains that kept me up for hours. I eventually discovered what it was and had to have surgery for the first time in my life. Before the year ended my grandfather passed away and 2015 began with us laying him to rest. It wasn't all bad though, I got engaged and we got married in February 2016. All those years it felt like I lost my voice, so much was happening but now I can read again.

  1. Love that cover for these Rebel Waves! And glad you found your way back to reading. :)

    1. I do too, I can't wait to read it. Thank you.

  2. These Rebel Waves has such a gorgeous cover! Also really like the cover of 9. :)

    1. I was drawn to the cover of Rebel Waves and I've read a few books by this author. Hopefully it's a good read.

  3. Ooo 9 by Zach Hines, I would love to read that. Great haul and you had a busy week! I also took a break from reading. Sometimes you just have to. But, I missed it. I am sorry about your grandfather and Congratulations on your marriage! Welcome back!

  4. Ugh yup real Life has its way to get in between us and our bookish goals Sorry to hear you were sick and need surgery but hopefully that will take care of the issue and hopefully you'll feel more motivated to read more!

  5. That sounds bad how you were in a reading rut for so long, but that's great you're back to reading again. i hope you'll enjoy your new books!
