  12. I don't have favorite movie adaptations because I.. well I can't pick just one. I'm always excited to watch the movies though because there's always something unique about them. I'm sure most of the movie adaptations I love are already listed above anyway. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  14. My favorite movie adaptation is definitely The Lord of the Rings! The movies are just as epic as the books and I never thought that possible!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Harry Potter! Wonderful book and great movie. :)

    ReplyDelete
  16. I feel the best movie adaptation was Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Although the movies of The Lord of the Rings were well done, I thought they were terrible adaptations/interpretations of the books. Because of this I have so far avoided the first movie of The Hobbit. Also The Lightning Thief was almost unrecognizable from the original story. The Hunger Games was fairly decent and I'm hoping The Book Thief won't be a disappointment.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I love the Harry Potter movies. The worst that I've seen has to be The Thief Lord.

    ReplyDelete
  19. The Harry Potter movies and The Lord of the Rings movies are the best.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Harry Potter is the greatest....

But i will tell about Darren Shan Saga and The Vampire's Assistant. The books and the film, i love both of them. But, if i watch the film and match the story in the book...

    They are different.... Too different....

    But i love the story....

    ReplyDelete
  26. Going old school... Love the orginal Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and HATE the remake.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I thought the Perks of Being a Wallflower movie was absolutely spot on in terms of plot, casting and general feel - probably because Chbosky wrote and directed it himself! Definitely one of the strongest adaptations I've ever seen - and not just because I'm a huge Ezra Miller fan! :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. The Lord of the Rings was amazing of course. I also thought that the Narnia movies were really well done.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Best Adaptations: The Hunger Games, Much Ado About Nothing

    ReplyDelete
  30. I really liked the Harry Potter series (if we ignore how many things from the books didn't make it to the movie) and The Perks of Being a Wallflower was quite good too! :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. My favorite book adaptation is the Harry Potter series.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Best adaptations have got to be Harry Potter #1 through 3! The rest were ok, the first 3 were the best. :) I think Hunger Games is a close second. The worst would be Breaking Dawn parts 1 and 2. Wow, that was just bad. Though I thought the casting for Renesmee was good.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I think The Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook are the best adaptations I've seen, and then Percy Jackson would have to be the worst. Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I really like the Harry Potter movie adaptations. I didn't really like The Hunger Games (that is NOT how she got the pin!! And I watched it with a couple people who hadn't read the book - they kept asking me questions because the movie didn't explain things well). And I really hated The Host. It felt like a lot of the story was missing in that one.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I cannot wait until Vampire Academy comes out!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. My favorite adaptation is the Harry Potter series.

  51. The Hunger Games was an AWESOME adaption! I wasn't so keen on Percy Jackson though.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I really liked City of Bones adaption. I thought it was very well done. Yes, there were differences but it was still good.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I'm a sucker for movie adaptations based on books I read as I kid. I live for movies like James and the Giant Peach and Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory because I just love how they portray it onscreen.

    ReplyDelete
  54. My favourite book to movie adaptation would have to be Where the Wild Things Are. I read it as a children's book and that's all I ever saw it as. But, the movie gave the book depth and touched on more issues while being entertaining for younger and older demographics. Plus, I cry every time I watch it.

    ReplyDelete
  55. So far my favorite book to movie adaptation has been The Perks of Being a Wallflower xD

But I am just adoring that more and more YA books are being turned into movies, so I love HP movies, THG and am dying to watch the movie adaptation of Divergent =]

    ReplyDelete

  75. Lord of the Rings and Gone with the Wind are definitely my favorite book-to-movies. The worst, Beautiful Creatures, sooo boring.
    Thanks for a giveaway! :)

  76. The early Harry Potter movies - I had no interest at all in reading the books until I saw the first 2 movies - and then I went to the bookstore right after seeing that second movie and bought all the books to date.

    ReplyDelete
  77. There are so many book to movie/series adaptations that I like!:) But if I were to name only one, I would choose Pride and prejudice adaptation of 1995 (not the movie, but series produced in 1995).

  79. I loved how the Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings books series were made into movies. I also loved Stardust movie, but the book was just so-so.

My least favorite is probably Eragon, I liked the book, but the movie just was too different and somehow failed to capture the book's essence. I felt he same about The Host movie, which wasn't bad at all, just that a lot of what was in the book really took place in Melanie's head, which just wasn't possible to bring out to the screen.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I love the Harry Potter movies the most and Forrest Gump was great too :)

    ReplyDelete
  81. I think the HP movies were great adaptations. I hated the Twilight ones, but more so for the casting (Kirsten Stewart?? Seriously??) than for following the storyline.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I love books that are made into movies. Can't wait for the Divergent series! :)

    ReplyDelete
  83. I liked Fight Club. The movie was just as entertaining as the book.

    Les Johnson

    ReplyDelete
  84. I love "The Count of Monte Christo" movie adaption and "Twilight" was the worst adaption ever...

    ReplyDelete
  85. My favorite book to movie is Circle of Friends by Maeve Binchy. I loved both the book and the movie.

    ReplyDelete
  86. The Perks of Being a Wallflower is my favorite!

    ReplyDelete
  87. The Perks of Being a Wallflower is one of my favourite movie adaptations. It was so true to the book, and the casting was perfect - probably because Stephen Chbosky was very involved in the process. I don't think I've ever laughed/cried so much in the middle of a crowded theater as I did when I first went to see it.

Also, I had no idea that The Raven Boys was being made into a movie! This news just made my day completely, since I love those boys (and Blue). : )

  101. I loved hunger games. I was amazed at how close to the book they actually stuck (Or i thought anyways) and that was reading the book after i watched the movie a few times. I also really enjoyed warm bodies. I haven't read that book though. I was really disapointed with beautiful creatures. :-/ I loved the host though as a movie over the book & even my husband enjoyed it. That's a rare find. lol I think for me because the book felt like it took forever to get through.

On a side note, I didnt know the immortal rules was going to possibly be a movie?? I am actually reading the eternity cure right now and i would have to say i think they would be cool movies to see. I would love to see Shatter Me too. I LOVE that series. <3

    ReplyDelete
  118. I loved the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice, Colin Firth was the perfect Mr. Darcy. I think being a mini-series helped it, because movies tend to have to cut away a lot of good moments from books in order to fit into a set amount of time.
