Hmmm...I actually liked Coraline the movie MORE than the book -- the creation of one character in the movie made the story make more sense. I thought it was brilliant!
Thanks for the awesome giftcard giveaway! There's a book I've been wanting to get and a giftcard would help *a lot*. Fingers crossed!
Hmmm... Off the top of my head The Hunger Games. I saw Warm Bodies the other day and thought it was cute and funny- I just learned last night that it is also a book. Now it's on my TBR list.
Harry Potter!! And Lord of the Rings/Hobbit and, more recently, Silver Linings Playbook was amazing (although I've only seen the movie and not read the book). Thanks for the giveaway!
I love a lot of books into movies. The Notebook, Preide and Prejudice (any version), Princess Diaries, The Devil wears Prada, Beautiful Creatures, The Hunger Games and even though City of Bones isn't release yet until August I will already add it on my top list of book adaptations. :)
In most cases, I've never read the books that are later made into films...that I recall. The only one that actually stands out is Gone With the Wind...my all time favorite book and film.
I liked both Pride & Prejudice and The Lord of the Rings. And that's partly due to the fact I had not read either books before, and also I'm not one to watch a movie based from a book I've read.
Definitely Lord of the Rings. I'm a very big fan of J R R Tolkien and Peter Jackson. I also liked the first Hunger games movie bue haven't read the book. Thanks a lot for the giveaway!
I have liked lots of books made into movies like Jurrasic Park, Green Mile, Lord of the Rings, To Kill a Mockingbird or The Hunger Games. Thanks for the giveaway!
Harry Potter was excellent, though not as good as the books. Twilight of course, not that the movies were that good, I was just excited they were made into movies. Beautiful Creatures was an excellent movie although I was disappointed at the casting of Lena and it wasn't as similar to the book as I had hoped. I'm eagerly awaiting TMI movies!
I thought hunger games was pretty close to the book (I could def see the differences between the two). I watched the movie before i read the books. I loved it (And so does my husband who has never read the books, he's going to see catching fire with me!). Warm bodies was also a really good movie. I haven't read the book though so i don't know how it compares but it's on my list to read this year sometime.
