This was a spiritual journey for Brielle. I liked the message in this book that I received and maybe others will get a different perception when they read it. Brielle is an okay character, she very doubtful and at times frustrating but it's nice to see her gradually open up and begin to believe. The relationship between her and Jake isn't steamy or anything but innocent and sweet except for a part that reminded me of Twilight for moment, however this is very different from the intense relationship of that series. It's a good story about good and evil as well as spiritual beliefs and sacrifices. Overall, the story moves slowly but the characters are alright. I would recommend for teens looking for a good balance between Christian and paranormal fiction.

ReplyDeleteSounds like a good read and I too have questioned why some in life die early or leave us early and I was spared. Or why I was dealt a certain life while others do not have that same struggle.
