Synopsis
Madison is familiar enough with change, and she hates everything about it. Change took her long-term boyfriend away from her. It caused one of her friends to suddenly hate her. It’s responsible for the death of a local along with a host of other mysterious happenings. But when Madison meets a hot new guy, she thinks her luck is about to improve.
Madison is instantly drawn to the handsome and intriguing Isaac Addington. She quickly realizes he’s a guy harboring a secret, but she’s willing to risk the unknown to be with him.
Her world really spins out of control, however, when her best friend becomes delusional, seeing things that aren’t there and desperately trying to escape their evil. When the doctors can’t find the answers, Madison seeks her own.
Nothing can prepare her for what she is about to discover.
Thoughts: Madison is missing Kevin, her ex, who moved away to go to school and her friends in an effort to encourage to move on decide to play matchmaker. Well, lucky she gets introduced to new guy Isaac, who is kind, mysterious and just what Madison needs to move forward. His touch literally sends jolts of electricity through her and she wonders why she seems so drawn to Isaac. She's not given much time to ponder that as things go downhill when her best friend goes mad, he ex comes home, and someone is trying to kill her. That’s a lot for a young girl to deal with especially when she discovers a secret about herself that will change her life forever.
Madison and Isaac's romance happens fairly quickly...they go from hi, hello to kissing within a day. There seems to be a love triangle, when her ex-Kevin decides to come home to visit and sees her with Isaac. This causes a strain between her relationships with both boys. At one point things get so intense that Madison gets caught in the middle and may lose Isaac in the process. Anyhow, the story line flows well throughout and the characters are interesting. I actually liked the plot and how Madison deals with each obstacle she's tasked with facing, mostly how well she handles the news about her gift. Through it all she remains good friend and very passionate about protecting those she cares for and this makes her easy to identify and understand. The male interests are nice but intense where Madison is concerned and moody. Overall, good read that anyone interested in a paranormal story with action and romance.

Cherie's imagination extends far beyond her Illinois roots through her love of books and reading. Cherie combines her fascination of all things mythical with her passion for writing to weave together middle grade and young adult stories.
She enjoys spending time with family and friends, meeting new people, writing, reading, and loves a challenge. While she has had many great experiences, her most satisfying experience is seeing her children and stories grow into their own exciting and distinct entities.
