An inspirational story about the allure of fame and the faith that binds a family forever . . .

Delilah Monroe has done everything in her power to keep her three daughters strong since the death of her husband. And a big part of that connection is their singing group, Delilah's Daughters. Veronica, Roxanne, and Alisha each have their own unique sense of self, but they all share the dream of Delilah's Daughters hitting the Billboard charts.

Now, just as they enter the final round of a national talent show, a record producer approaches Veronica with the promise of fame . . . if she goes solo. Then the man Delilah has always leaned on wants more from her than just friendship, and someone from her past comes calling with a shocking secret. Will Delilah be able to hold her family together?

Drama. Family. Secrets. Delilah's Daughters hope to someday make it as a successful gospel-pop group. Every year they've worked hard to prepare for Gospelfest and this year they plan to show America they have what it takes to make it in the industry, all they need to do is win a singing competition. Music has brought them together but threatens to tear them apart when an offer's made that's hard to refuse. One girl will have it all yet at a price she never imagined. Two of the girls world gets turned upside down by secrets and lies. Can the love of music survive the turmoil in this family or will all their dreams be crushed?

I enjoyed reading about a family that's not perfect but their love for each other is beautiful and dysfunctional at times. Every deceit becomes protection for a loved one because they feel it's best for the person being lied to. Which in the end results in a big mess, hurt feelings of betrayal and potential to lose that very they love. Each female in the family has something going on with them. Delilah's, the mother, story intersects with them all, she has a story to tell and she learns about her daughters and herself. Veronica and her husband's relationship gets tested and she begins to realize that things aren't as perfect in her life. I didn't like her husband, he's seems so shady. Roxanne has a man in her life but she's keeping him away from her family and what happens next will be life-changing. Alisha's world along with her entire family will tilt but it's up to Delilah to find a way to mend the chaos to restore the relationship she has with her daughters. Overall, it seemed like reality television on paper, so much was going on with these women. It's an interesting read about love and family.
