When I was a very young child, I was in love with Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson. It showed me what you could do with a little imagination... and a purple crayon, of course. :)
Oh gosh! I love The Goosebumps books, The Boxcar Children, and anything by Beverly Cleary and Lois Duncan. I also loved the Harry Potter series, but didn't start reading those until I was in fifth or sixth grade.
The Chronicles of Narnia (particularly The Lion, The Witch & the Wardrobe, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and The Silver Chair), The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle by Avi, and The Giver by Lois Lowry.

When I was in middle school I hated to read. But I remember one day the class went to the library and we all had to check out a book. I checked out “Doctor Dolittle”. I read it and I actually loved it. This is the only book that I actually remember reading when I was younger. Thank you for being a part of this fun and very generous blog hop!!
Probably The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. I didn't read nearly as much when I was younger, but that was one of my favourite books. It was also when I first fell in love with fantasy. :)
I don't remember the name of it but it was about a father and daughter who went fishing and every fish they caught the father would toss it back into the water. The daughter got mad and decided to toss the father in. I love this story cause i remember my mom reading this to me and she would laugh at it.
I had many favorites as a child: "Nancy Drew", "Hardy Boys", "Pecos Bill", "Uncle Remus" and many others. I never tired of reading and each book I was reading became my favorite.
I don't remember what I read when I was very young, but as I grew older I loved things like Misty of Chincoteague, Black Beauty, Little House on the Prairie, Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, Watership down....
I loved Harry Potter series so much, also all Lingren's books :)
