Book Blogger Hop: June 29th

Book Blogger Hop
Book Blogger hop hosted by CrazyforBooks
Hop on over and join in the fun!

This weeks question:
Do you have a keeper shelf for books you loved? What books are on that shelf and why?
HMMMM, well.....
My Answer: I have tubs, crates and boxes of books! I have Thief's Covenant & False Covenant by Ari Marmell, Grave Mercy, Harry Potter series, Starters, Beverly Jenkins historical romance novels, Of Poseidon, Lies Beneath, Snowfall by Sharon Sala, Karen Chance's Cassandra Palmer series(on my Kindle)and so many more! I could go on an on, literally. These books I love them, the characters, the worlds...the connection is why they are special to me. When you can truly feel that you are a part the world you are reading, you have experienced its essence and that is something that lasts forever. At least for me it does.

What about you? What book is on your shelf? Why?

  2. I total understand.

For me, I sometimes need a inexpensive vacation, with friends I enjoy.

  3. Know how you feel. There are so many characters and worlds that I can't bear to part with.

  4. I am a hoarder when it comes to books - I never want to throw/give anything away! :D Right now I do have only a couple of books in this cabinet because most of them were boxed when I moved away from home - I have the collected Prose of Woody Allen, a couple of film books, Shakespeare and a couple of other books in the cabinet now. :)

  5. Nice blog design and illustration. Like you, I have tons of books. I just can't get rid of them easily. Too hard to narrow so many books down to a few favourites.

  7. When I moved to attend college, my mother told me, "Misty you cannot take all of your books! You may fill ONE tub up with books and that is all." My first few years of undergraduate I was able to go home a lot so I would read some, take some home, and switch. I managed to read all the Series of Unfortunate Events and Cirque du Freak series. At my parent's house, I have one HUGE shelf that goes floor to ceiling that is stuffed with books, then I have two smaller shelves that are stuffed with books, I have a curio cabinet that is filled with rare books (old books or special to me books), and then in the hallway I have a long bookshelf filled with reference type books. At my apartment, I have one book shelf that is double stacked/stuffed with books. My boyfriend has two book shelves full and a stack on the floor. We also have books stacked on various tables through out the apartment. Oh and we have one very tall shelf that we share that is filled with graphic novels. He filled the first two shelf and is halfway through his third. I have the bottom two. One shelf is for graphic novels and the other holds my single issues. Also, I have a cabinet in my kitchen that is stuffed with cook books. So yeah, I think we have books in every room in the apartment except the bathrooms or closest.
