Summary
How does a girl choose between the one who steals her heart and the one who owns her soul?

Matt and Emily were created for a specific job. Raised and trained as the ultimate angel/warrior team, they are sent down to save, defend, judge and forgive, depending on the 'life' they've been assigned. What they don't realize is that the power of human emotions, such as love, anger, passion and fear can take over even the best of souls, causing them to make mistakes and follow paths that lead to confusion and heartache.

When the reason for their training is finally revealed, the angel/warrior team find themselves thrust into a world they know nothing about. Matt takes over the life of Daniel, a young man with a great deal of baggage. Emily becomes Liz, a girl living in a remote village who relies on nothing more than her own strength to survive. A violent storm erupts one night, and framed in the window of Liz's establishment is a frightening face. Let in by the soul of a Good Samaritan, the two visitors bring with them a past full of secrets that could literally change an angel's path and a warrior's plans.

From murder to redemption, this angel/warrior team must find a way to keep the faith they have in each other in a world that's ripping them apart.

"If you don't believe in anything, you feel abandoned. And the world is too harsh a reality without having something to believe in."

Review:This book is unique and touching, and it talks about so many subjects of faith, love, loss, hope, and hate. Emily and Matt are great characters with depth and levels to them, deep down they become human not just as a soul inhabiting a body but as the emotions begin to filter into their very souls. My favorite characters are the elder angels when they are just relaxing and doing silly things, and Faith, who is young, vivacious, vibrant and full of life. All the characters are interesting and different and each has their own trial that they have to overcome.I really enjoyed this book, it is well written and flows well. I couldn't put it down, and just keep telling myself just one more chapter then I'll go to bed...well it turned into 5 or 6 more chapters before I finally tore myself away. I'm curious as to what happens next for these two in the next book as that ending made you wonder what happened. Will Emily and Matt make the right choice to save those they were meant to save without damning their souls or losing hope with the humanity? Lignor introduces a alternate twist to the angel genre, and it's not all serious...it has humor as well. Great read!

Cover Review: Fantastic and cool!
