M.J.A. Ware had my attention from start to finish, who would have thought something as simple as lemons could kill zombies. No decapitation or shooting maybe running them over with a car but this was just an all out fun read. Ware takes a subject and turns on the humor throughout and I believe this is what makes this a truly fascinating read. Best friends Nate and Misty, after being grounded, sneak out to go camping only to return to find that the town is empty, except for well the zombies. So, they decide to set up shop in Walmart, and the chemistry between the two characters is so great, I wonder if this will be a series for I feel there is something, an emotion that neither is ready to admit just yet. I look forward to more, even though I am not the intended audience, I thoroughly enjoyed Ware's work. I felt it was well written and flowed considerably well, with a balance of seriousness, wit and hilarity. The characters were well written and the plot was great. I would recommend this to reluctant readers and youth 9-16 years of age, as well as anyone that is interested in books about zombies but with a twist.My favorite parts in this book were about Nate and his desire to have clean underwear but no matter how hard he tried things keep happening to hinder that need. Overall, this is a must read!
