Callie lost her parents when the Spore Wars wiped out everyone between the ages of twenty and sixty. She and her little brother, Tyler, go on the run, living as squatters with their friend Michael and fighting off renegades who would kill them for a cookie. Callie's only hope is Prime Destinations, a disturbing place in Beverly Hills run by a mysterious figure known as the Old Man.

He hires teens to rent their bodies to Enders—seniors who want to be young again. Callie, desperate for the money that will keep her, Tyler, and Michael alive, agrees to be a donor. But the neurochip they place in Callie's head malfunctions and she wakes up in the life of her renter, living in her mansion, driving her cars, and going out with a senator's grandson. It feels almost like a fairy tale, until Callie discovers that her renter intends to do more than party—and that Prime Destinations' plans are more evil than Callie could ever have imagined. . . .

Review: Price has created a truly original concept that is beautifully creepy. I mean imagine someone older than you that doesn't want you to work but is just fine with using your body, so they can feel younger. Jeez! Callie, doesn't agree with it either but she's doing it for her little brother Tyler. She is three rentals away from a nice home and food for them both. All she has to do is survive until then, but not everything goes as smooth as the Enders at Prime make it out to be, something has changed. Someone is out for blood, and Callie's finger may be the one to pull the trigger. This story is well written and the characters are wonderful. Callie has such fire and heart, and the Old Man makes for a mysterious and devious antagonist. I have my theories about him, but I'm not going to tell. There were two male interests for Callie, though I was much more intrigued by the interaction between her, Helena(the renter) and the Enders. This book will make you wonder, what if this was the future for our world. It's the young versus the old, but what about the people in between? I'm curious because all of them can't be gone.Fast-paced, intriguingly suspenseful...this is a must read!

  1. Hm...How much money? And how does it work o_o
That would be SO weird. Are you aware that someone is using your body? I mean, I guess I would depending on my circumstances but just thinking that someone could be controlling me and my mind would pretty much be in the background and not an active participant in what my body is doing would be freaaaaaaky. But I guess if I were old and I could use someone's body, then that'd be great! ^_~

Thanks for the review and giveaway!

  2. I couldn't do it, it would have to be extreme circumstances and you're welcome!

  3. I don't think I would be able to let someone use my body. The idea of losing control of my facilities terrifies me, so I probably wouldn't be able to go through with it unless it was an absolute last resort.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  4. I don't think so. That would be so weird and creepy. Plus what if they do something bad while they are using it.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I'm really intrigued with the premise of this story, so I really really want to read it. The only thing is if it was me, I wouldn't want to have someone else using my body. That would be really scary and weird.

  6. I completely agree creepy but that's what make the story so fascinating. So, glad it's fiction. :)

  7. I don't know!! I think I'll say no but dunno what kind of cincumstances and if they use my body in what kind of way? This question is tricky :S

    ReplyDelete
  8. I'm not sure I would give up my dignity like that, so I would say no! :) Cool book!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Maybe I will if I needed the money for my love one. Just really depends on how I needed the money.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I would never ever dare to let anyone else use my body! Not even if I'm going to die.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I suppose it depends on what the outcomes would be from them using my body, like would my body get damaged or not. But really I would have to really need the money really badly before I let anyone use my body. The idea of someone else using my body is kind of freaky.

    ReplyDelete
  12. It would depend on how badly I needed the money. Thanks for the giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  13. It really depends but i think I would be afraid to let them though lol!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Absolutely not, that's creepy. I'd find other ways to get money, thank you very much:)

  15. NO. NEVER. My dignity and purity will be crushed. I'd rather experience hunger than sell my body. I think I'll be able to live through the harder things in life. :)

    ReplyDelete
  16. Gosh what a freaky concept, adds a whole new meaning to the idea of selling your body! I really don't think I could do it, but I guess if it was the only option...

    ReplyDelete
  17. I don't care how badly I needed the money, I could never let someone use my body .. that's just... freaky.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Wow. That is quite the question. I probably wouldn't. I like to be in control of my own life!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I don't think I could allow someone to use my body regardless of how desperate I was for money. There's always another option.

    Great giveaway!

  21. I could do it to save someone that I love but it would be so horrible!
Thanks a lot for the International giveaway. This book sounds so intriguing!

  22. I don't think so. :)
    Thanks for the giveaway!!

  23. I really think it depends on the world I'd live in. If that's all I could do, if I had loved ones to help, then maybe. aNd it would also depend on how I'd be used.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I really don't think I would be able to. The thought of what they might do with my body creeps me out! Things could go so wrong....

  25. Hi,
Thank you for the international giveaway! :)
If I have to answer I'll say instantly that I'll not be able to let someone use my body; but never say never ! We don't know what we are ready to do in extreme situation or to save someone we love.
The book sounds like a good read and it's been on my wishlist.

  26. I don't think I would be able to.

  27. I don't think I could let them use my body - unless we're talking millions. Of course, I'd want them to pay me in advance. And if they wouldn't pay in advance, I'd make them pay my family in my stead - just in case something happened while the "renting" was occurring.

    Yeah...difficult decision.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I don't think I would ever need money badly enough to let someone else use my body. I don't see anything about lending my body to someone else going very well for me.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Nope. Too scary of a prospect to even consider.

    ReplyDelete
  30. For money, yes. Probably. With rules and limitations.

    ReplyDelete
  31. omg i would totally do it if it were worth saving my love ones but i am not that brave its creepy omg cant wait for the book starters

    ReplyDelete
  32. not for myself but for my little brother... probably.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'm kind of thinking, why would they want my body? They must be desperate.

  34. No! I would never ever let anyone else use my body!
Even if that means I'll be starving!

    ReplyDelete
  35. No I wouldn't because it just feels like an invasion of privacy. WAAAY too personal. I get uncomfortable with hugs so I can't imagine something in my body!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Eek! If it ever came down to someone using my body in exchange for money, I don't think I'd want the money that badly. It seems so invasive and creepy!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I so agree with you all ...loving the answers

    ReplyDelete
  38. No amount of money will make me agree to letting someone use my body. Having someone else use my body just sounds plain creepy. Don't even wanna think it.

    ReplyDelete
  39. No way. I am too protective of my body and would worry of it being mis-used.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I don't think I can live with myself afterwards, so No Way!

    ReplyDelete
  41. No way. My body is mine. I wouldn't give it over for anything. Thanks for the awesome giveaway :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. I might if it were to save my child, but not just for me or money. Easy to say when not faced with such a dilemma isn't it :)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Great review. No, I wouldn't.

    ReplyDelete
  44. This is an easy question. Absolutely no, I wouldn't.

    ReplyDelete
  45. NEVER....
    Great review.... ^.^
    Thanks too

    ReplyDelete
  46. nopenopenope. I'd be scared silly of the idea of someone using my body.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I would if given enough money and if I am not doing anything illegal or disgusting - I would have to know exactly what he or she was doing and be able to be "eject" him or her at any time. Lots of conditions! :)

    Thanks!

  48. Yes, if I could access those memories later. Plus I am guessing it would be a LOT of money.

  49. Sure, why not? I'm only sorry I'm missing out on the experience. Would be extremely curious as to what someone would need MY body for! And only if the most care is taken. I don't need to contract any diseases!!!

  50. Hm. If I was only taking care of myself the answer would absolutely be 'No Way'. If I had family and loved ones who I was responsible for then I would consider it, especially if there really was no other way.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Yes. If it meant my family would be provided for forever, yes. Absolutely.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Would i allow someone else the use of my body, if i really needed the money?....Absolutely NO!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. NO NO NO!Three times no! I wouldn't allow someone to use my body, especially not some old people, grandpas and grandmoms!

    ReplyDelete
  54. The future of our world, you think? IDN... maybe. i mean, EVERYTHING's pissible.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Most likely no. It depends on what i need the money for i guess.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Now that's a hard question. I don't know... I don't know what I'll choose and perhaps will know if I'm in that position for real. Of course, I don't want people use my body, but seems like the predicament I'm in is just so unbearable that I can't hold it anymore, and perhaps I'm utterly frustrated that I no longer have the will to get up, I will allow them to use my body.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Nope never! i don't even like doctors touching me and it's for my benefit :p

    ReplyDelete
  58. Well actually it depends on the person itself... I will if my siblings and my life is in the stake.. But if it just for money, i think i can find someway else to earn it. It kind of ridiculous how an old person mind in someone far younger..well its kind of interesting either...

    ReplyDelete
  59. Probably yes. Depending on what is it I want to use the money for.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I would like to say no- but there are often circumstances that I don't forsee that would make me change my mind. This story is at the top of my list to read- I would love to win. Thanks for the chance!

  62. Would really love to read this book!
    Sounds so awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  63. I don't know it would depend on how much money it was. I love this book and I really want to win. Thanks for the awesome giveaway.

    ReplyDelete
  64. this book sounds interesting!
maybe i'll get lucky and i win it :D

    ReplyDelete
  65. No. But the important question. Use my body how..?

Would love to win, this looks crazy good!

    ReplyDelete
  66. That's the thing you won't know what they are doing with it, which would take a lot of trust and a great need to make such a sacrifice. Crazy, I know.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Ewwww! No one would want my body now that I've had babies!! Haha!

    ReplyDelete
  68. This is such a great story idea! No, I wouldn't want to give access to my body for someone else to use. I think it'd be like a rental car. Some people treat rental cars much worse than their own cars because it's not theirs and they wont have to deal with the consequences of the rough treatment in a few years. I think the same thing would apply to borrowing a body.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Immediately I would have to say no. But upon further thought I would have a bunch of questions, such as HOW exactly are they using my body? And how MUCH money? And for HOW long would they use me? LOL Overall I'm pretty sure the answer would be a resounding NO but what if it was just for 5 minutes for a million bucks and just using, say, my finger? Ya know? ha ;) Thanks for the giveaway!

  70. The cover kind of frightens me. LOL. I am quite intrigued and would love to read it. I am a follower.... and thanks for the giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  74. No, it will be too weird and creepy

    ReplyDelete
  75. No, I don't think I could do that.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I wouldn't be sure about what they would be doing with it, so I don't think I would

    ReplyDelete
  77. Never in million years would i allow someone else uses my body. The thought of someone else will be going around as me is really creepy @.@

    ReplyDelete
  78. I don't think so. Maybe if my family is in need of the money.
Thanks for the great giveaway. This book sounds great!

    ReplyDelete
  79. If I really, really needed the money, possibly. If it was only me, I would try to avoid it. But as in Callie's situation, I probably would.
